RECORD IT module
RECORD IT is an additional module for QuickPHOTO programs. It is inteded for real time video recording from digital and analog imaging devices. For example a microscopic experiment, grow of a cell colony, endoscopic or ultrasonographic examination can be recorded using the RECORD IT module.
Functions description
Video recording from digital cameras
The video can be recorded from several types of digital cameras using RECORD IT module. After the module installation the control elements for video recording will be added to the control panel of the imaging device.
Video recording from analog cameras and other sources of analog video signal
The video can be recorded from analog cameras and other analog devices using RECORD IT module.
That way video can be recorded e.g. from videoendoscopic systems, ulrasonographs, VCRs, DVDs. After the module installation the control elements for video recording will be added to the control panel of analoq video signal.
Use of external trigger for video recording
The use of an external trigger (an optional accessory) can make the work with the RECORD IT module easier. The video recording can be started by pressing the trigger button. The video recording can be stopped by pressing the trigger button again. The recorded video file is automatically stored to the hard drive and the program is ready for another recording. In case of two-button trigger, one button can be used for video recording whilst the second one can be used for capturing of still images. The user can fully focus on work, e.g. endoscopic examination and watch all the recorded video files and images later.
Used video format
The recorded video is stored in the files with .avi extension. The codec from Microsoft® corporation is used for video compression. The codec is necessary to be installed on the PC for video playback and is downloadable for free here.
Automatic denomination of video files
The video files are immediatelly after recording saved to the hard drive with pre-defined name. The automatic text for distinguishing the stored files is added after file name. The automatic text can be a number or a date and a number. It all means, it is not necessary to define the names of the files manually. Everything is done automatically and the user can continue with recording of another video clip immediately.
